For me, styling goes back generations; my aunt is a hairstylist and my grandfather owned a salon back in the day. Personally, being in a salon has always felt so familiar. I was born and raised in New England and studied my craft for years in New York City before finally settling in Austin. I took a road trip out here and just fell in love. I just love how proud and happy people look. Austin is a perfect city full of creativity, individuality and innovation.
Within the 8 years that I have been in Austin, I made a name for myself by styling editorials for local magazines like Tribeza, Austin Monthly and Austin Lifestyle. Additional work I have done in Austin includes: Bleach Magazine, Coco Magazine, and Austin Fashion Week.
I've been very fortunate to collaborate with the following artist working as a freelance stylist for: Free People Boutique, Charm School Vintage Boutique, Kelly Wynne Handbags, and Beehive Boutique.
One of my proudest achievements in my career was when I was involved with the documentary Dress for Success. I thoroughly enjoyed donating my time and services to the local community.
Now that you know a little about me, I would love to know more about you! Look forward to meeting you. You Can find Lauren at our South Lamar location.
